The categories under which prizes are awarded have changed for this year's Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve. The award previously given for the Best Jewelry Watch and Best Artistic Crafts Watch has been divided into two categories. The Metiers d'Arts Award,IWC Ingenieur Replica which was recently established, is given to timepieces that demonstrate exceptional mastery in one or more artistic techniques, such as enameling, lacquering and guilloche. It was inspired by Frederic Boucheron, the founder of the renowned French luxury good manufacturer. For a spectacular look, more than 250 gems have been set against a black hematite backdrop. The gems are set in two different ways.
